THE PANACEA
Real Name: Mathis Mootz
>> BIOGRAPHY
The Panacea served an apprenticeship in classical music and was a member of the boy's choir of Windsbach. After studying music engineering at the SAE
Institute, The Panacea worked with the experimental hip hop/illbient label Chrome, an offshoot of Force Inc Music Works. Over the course of several drum &
bass albums and many singles, and as A&R manager for Chrome, later renamed Position Chrome, The Panacea became known for pushing the boundaries of the drum &
bass genre into industrial and hardcore territory, and for energetic DJ sets which fused these genres in a live setting. The Panacea also produces
experimental, electro, dark ambient and neo-industrial beats under various pseudonyms. The Panacea has an impressive discography with releases on labels
including Position Chrome, Kniteforce Again (KFA), Highpulse, Outbreak, Offkey, Intransigent and PRSPCT. The Panacea released the early 90s inspired rave
anthem 'Feelgood Tune' on Electromagnetic, and remixed Shanty 'Time's Trouble' on Electronic and AC Slater & Daywalker 'Passion' on Electromagnetic.
